Winterhawks Sign Bradley Ginnell
March 3, 2016 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Portland Winterhawks News Release
The Portland Winterhawks have signed forward Bradley Ginnell, the team's fifth round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.
Ginnell, a native of Calgary, Alberta, currently plays for the CRAA Blue team in the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League. He leads his team with 40 goals and 40 assists for 80 points in 35 games this season, which places him second in league scoring.
"Brad has had a tremendous year with his midget team. His ability to dictate the game with the combination of puck skills and vision confirmed our scouting reports when I was able to watch him play on our recent Alberta trip," said Portland Winterhawks General Manager & Head Coach Jamie Kompon. "We're excited that Brad and his family have decided that Portland is the place for him to continue his development."
Ginnell is in his 15-year-old season, making him eligible to join the Hawks full-time next season.
Group tickets include free Winterhawks hats starting at only $18 each while ticket plans begin at $90 each and include free Winterhawks scarves. Email seats@winterhawks.com or call 503-236-HAWK to buy seats today.
