Everett Silvertips News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips, in conjunction with the Navy Recruiting District Seattle Petty Officer's Association, is scheduled to host "Navy Night" on Friday at XFINITY Arena, in a 7:35 p.m. home game against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Limited Navy Night tickets are available on a reduced cost by exclusively visiting everettsilvertips.com/navy, starting at just $17. Standard single game tickets are also available via XFINITY Arena's website and box office. Group tickets of ten or more are available by calling the Silvertips at 425-252-5100.
Proceeds from the event, including seven dollars per ticket purchased for Friday night's game (via promotional link), will benefit local military efforts supporting the Navy Recruiting District Seattle Petty Officers Association. | BUY TICKETS HERE
Returning this season to the Silvertips promotional calendar, the game is designed to generate fundraising for local Navy community outreach programs and internal quality-of-life initiatives for individuals on duty, in association with Wednesday night's "Tip-A-Tip" event at all El Paraiso Mexican Grill locations.
During the first intermission, recruited sailors for the U.S. Navy will participate in a formal swearing-in ceremony on the ice of XFINITY Arena. Concourse activity will also present a silent auction for limited edition, autographed Silvertips Navy Night "throwback style" jerseys including specially designed camouflage numbers and nameplates.
Starting bids for select player jerseys will begin at $250 and the auction will end after the second intermission.
The first several hundred fans in attendance will receive a souvenir Silvertips cowbell, presented by Knockout Energy Drink.
"Tip A Tip" night, which generated $2300 on Wednesday night in fundraising, previously has supported initiatives in the past such as supporting costs for youth hockey, general funds for the Boys & Girls Club, and more. Players were assigned to all three El Paraiso locations and served as "guest" waiting staff, soliciting tips for limited edition memorabilia and prize packs, in coordination of fundraising for Navy Night.
More information is available at www.everettsilvertips.com and the Tips Mobile App, available on iTunes and the Android Market.
