Winston-Salem native wins $10,000 grand prize through 2013 Dash Stakes

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Winston-Salem Dash have announced that Lisa Vaccaro of Winston-Salem is the winner of the $10,000 grand prize of the 2013 Dash Stakes.
Vaccaro will receive her $10,000 check during the fifth inning of the Dash's game this Saturday, August 24, against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at BB&T Ballpark. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
Dash fans from throughout the Triad registered for the third-annual Dash Stakes by visiting Magnum Car Wash, Score More Sports Collectibles or Towne Jewelers. In addition to the $10,000 grand prize, the Dash awarded several other prizes throughout the contest. These included free VIP car washes from Magnum Car Wash, $25 gift certificates to Score More Sports Collectibles and a watch from Towne Jewelers.
"Dash Stakes has become an important part of Winston-Salem Dash baseball each season," Dash president Geoff Lassiter said. "We are thrilled to be able to award one of our loyal fans with this grand prize, and we thank all those who entered to win."
The Dash's final homestand begins on Saturday, August 24, at BB&T Ballpark. The homestand opens up with the final Burger King Value Pack Night of the year. For the affordable price of $30, you get four tickets, four Dash hats and four vouchers for Burger King combo meals.
