FORBES, RIVERA LEAD DASH ON THURSDAY

Gavin Sheets gave the Dash the lead with a two-run single in the first, and Zach Remillard capped a three-run third with a two-run blast to right. Up 5-3 in the sixth inning, Forbes completed his 4-for-4 night with an RBI double to right-center to make it a 6-3 contest. Rivera followed with an RBI double down the left field line to bookend his 3-for-4 performance. On the hill, the Dash bullpen combined to toss six shutout innings. Kyle Kubat tossed three shutout innings to pick up his third win of the year.
NOTHING LIKE A LITTLE PAYBACK
Forbes, who played with the Wood Ducks in 2017, has shined against his former team this year. In 13 games against Down East, the 21-year-old is batting .333 (16-for-48) with three homers, a double, a triple and 11 RBIs. During this current homestand, Forbes is 7-for-9 against the Woodies. Forbes was traded from the Rangers to the White Sox on August 31, 2017, in exchange for right-hander Miguel Gonzalez. Forbes was originally drafted by Texas with the 59th overall pick in 2014.
