SIOUX CITY, IA- The Wichita Wingnuts beat the Sioux City Explorers 10-7 at Lewis and Clark Park on Sunday evening.

After falling behind 1-0 in the bottom of the first, the Wingnuts rattled off 10 unanswered runs to build a nine-run lead. The comeback started in the top of the second when Jorge Delgado and Josh Workman hit back-to-back singles with one out. Peter Barrows lined a single to center to tie the game, sending Workman to second. After Edwin Bellorin flied out to center, Jose Duran lined a single to right field that scored Workman with the go-ahead run. Duran's single bounced by Derek Schermerhorn, allowing Barrows to score from first with the Wingnuts' third run.

Bellorin led off the top of the fifth with a solo home run to left field, giving Wichita a 4-1 lead. Juan Richardson added an RBI single later in the inning, while Jorge Delgado capped off the frame with a sacrifice fly to right.

The Wingnuts scored four more times in the top of the sixth. Barrows and Bellorin opened the inning with singles, and each took an extra base on a sacrifice bunt to third from Duran. After Mike Conroy was intentionally walked to load the bases, Josh Horn lifted a sacrifice fly to right to make it 7-1 Wichita. Richardson followed with a two-run double down the left field line that scored Bellorin and Conroy. Carlos Rivera drove in the Wingnuts' final run with a line drive single to left.

Sioux City rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth to cut the lead to 10-5. All four runs came on two-out hits, with Ray Serrano, Brett Flowers, and Ryan Priddy accounting for the RBI.

Flowers hit a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth to make it a three-run game, but Josh Dew slammed the door in the bottom of the ninth to earn his 16th save of the year. Dew struck out the side in order on 11 pitches.
