
Windy City Zooms Past Eastern Conference-Leading Motor City

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, knocked off the Motor City Cruise 115-103 on the road Friday night. Seven Windy City players scored in double figures as the Bulls led by as much as 23 points in the fourth quarter.
Devon Dotson led the Bulls in scoring with 24 points and eight assists. Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Tyler Cook scored 19 points on 9-for-15 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Windy City's Ethan Thompson and Kerwin Roach II each scored 14 points, while Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonović put up 13 points.
Coming off the bench, Daniel Oturu and Jeremy Pargo finished with 10 points apiece for the Bulls. Scottie Lindsey finished one point short of a double-double, scoring nine points and grabbing a team-high 12 rebounds in the victory.
The Cruise had six players score in double figures, led by Luka Garza's 27 points and 14 rebounds.
Garza came out of the gates on fire - scoring 14 first-quarter points - but the Bulls held a 31-30 lead after the opening 12 minutes. Making his Windy City debut, Jeremy Pargo came off the bench to score seven points in the opening period, including a buzzer-beating three-pointer to put the Bulls ahead.
Windy City outscored the Cruise 28-25 in the second quarter to increase the Bulls' lead to four points heading into halftime.
The Bulls started the second half on a 7-0 run to take a 66-55 advantage - the first double-digit lead of the game for either team. Windy City led by 10 or more for most of the period and entered the fourth quarter ahead by 15 points.
Trailing by as much as 23 in the fourth quarter, Motor City was never able to get within single-digits of Windy City, as the Bulls pulled out a 12-point victory.
With the win, the Bulls improved to 11-11 in the regular season, while the Cruise dropped to 15-6. With the regular season winding down, the Bulls currently sit two games behind the Grand Rapids Gold for the final playoff spot. Meanwhile, the Cruise dropped to second place in the Eastern Conference.
Next, the Bulls will play the second game on their six-game road trip. Windy City is scheduled to square off against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Sunday, March 6. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. CT and the game will be streamed on NBAGLeague.com.
