Windy City Bulls News Release
The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, surged back in the fourth quarter but came up just short against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, falling 116-108 on the road Sunday night. Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Tyler Cook recorded a double-double with 31 points on 13-for-18 shooting and 10 rebounds.
Entering the fourth quarter, Windy City trailed by 22 points, but the Bulls started the period on a 22-5 run to pull close to the Mad Ants. The Bulls managed to tie the game at 103 but weren't able to take the lead down the stretch, falling to Fort Wayne by eight points.
Cook and Scottie Lindsey played key roles in Windy City's comeback bid, scoring 11 points apiece in the fourth quarter. Lindsey finished with 17 points off the bench, going 5-for-6 from beyond the arc.
Windy City's Devon Dotson nearly notched a double-double, putting up 18 points and nine assists. Chicago Bulls Assignment center Mark Simonovic finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. Kerwin Roach II also scored 11 points for the Bulls and grabbed seven rebounds.
For the Mad Ants, Gabe York led the way with 35 points - including a 16-point third quarter to put Fort Wayne in the driver's seat heading into the final stretch.
The Bulls shot 51.2% from the field, while Fort Wayne connected on 45.3% of its shots. But the Mad Ants had more opportunities to score due to grabbing eight more rebounds and turning the ball over three fewer times than the Bulls.
The Bulls entered the game riding a four-game winning streak, but Windy City fell to 11-12 with the loss. Meanwhile, the Mad Ants improved to 9-13.
The Bulls and Mad Ants are set to square off again on Tuesday, March 8 in Fort Wayne. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT and the game will be streamed on NBAGLeague.com.
