Mason Williams (3-for-3 with a walk) followed with a double down the right field line to make it 3-2. O'Sullivan was lifted from the game for lefty Matt Hoffman after the double and Hoffman struck out Casey Stevenson with the tying run in scoring position.

Reading added an insurance run in the seventh inning when Carlos Alonso singled home Logan Moore to make it 4-2. Kyle Simon went the final 2.2 innings to earn his third save of the season.

The Thunder grabbed the game's first run in the bottom of the fourth inning when Greg Bird and Rob Segedin each doubled to begin the inning.
