Today, the SeaWolves look for three straight wins and a series win as they take on the Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Indians) in the third game of a four-game series at Canal Park. Last night, the SeaWolves put up double-digit runs for the second straight night as they took down the Ducks 10-8. Erie has scored 24 runs over the first two games of the series...Despite last night's loss, Akron clinched the Western Division wild card with a Bowie loss... Lefty Josh Turley takes the mound for the SeaWolves
making his ninth start and second against Akron. Turley beat the Ducks in his Double-A debut on July 19 allowing two runs on five hits in six innings. Turley is 0-3 with a
no-decision in his last four starts and looks for his first win since August 3. Turley took a loss in his last start against Bowie on August 26 despite tossing a quality start. In the game, he allowed three runs on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie lost the game 4-2...Lefty Shawn Morimando takes the mound for Akron making his 10th start and second against the SeaWolves . He took a no-decision in his start against Erie on July 18 allowing two runs on six hits in six innings. Morimando took a loss in his last start against Trenton allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits with a walk and six strikeouts in 6.1 innings.
