(Akron, Ohio) August 31, 2014 - Erie's Jason Krizan stroked a two-run triple in the top of the seventh inning Sunday, giving the SeaWolves the lead for good in a 6-4 win over the Akron RubberDucks at Canal Park.

Krizan's triple off Akron starter Shawn Morimando (2-6) landed just inside the first base bag and rolled to the right-field corner, chasing a pair of runners home and giving the SeaWolves a 5-4 lead. Krizan, 3-3, with two singles, two walks and two steals to go along with his triple, later scored on a single by Corey Jones to make it 6-4.

Erie (70-71) has won all three games of the series, and will go for the sweep in Monday's regular-season finale at 1:05 p.m. The RubberDucks (73-68) have clinched a spot in the upcoming EL playoffs, but have dropped three in a row and nine of their last 10 games.

Tim Fedroff led the Akron offense Sunday, belting a solo homer in the sixth inning that gave the RubberDucks a brief, 4-3 lead. It was Fedroff's second of the year. He also added an RBI double in the fourth inning and a lead-off single in the ninth.

Morimando worked into the seventh, but couldn't avoid his sixth loss of the season. The lefty allowed 10 hits and six runs, four of which were earned. The win went to Bryan Augenstein (4-1), who tossed two innings of relief after starter Josh Turley lasted only through the fourth. Erie's Joe Mantiply worked the ninth for his first AA save.

Notes: The start of the game was delayed 35 minutes due to rain. Righthander Grant Sides made his AA debut, and tossed a scoreless ninth for Akron. He even started a double play by making an over-the-shoulder catch behind the mound and doubling off Dean Green at first base. The SeaWolves stole six bases in the game. Attendance was 5,503.

The RubberDucks and SeaWolves will play the wrap-up of the series, homestand and regular season on Monday afternoon at 1:05. RHP Warwick Saupold (7-11, 5.17) is the expected starter for Erie, while the RubberDucks are expected to go with RHP Cole Sulser (0-0, 1.50). The game will be broadcast on WARF 1350 AM and online at www.AkronRubberDucks.com.

The Akron RubberDucks are the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The 2014 season is the 18th since moving to Canal Park and the first as the RubberDucks.
