
Wild Things spoil Paints' 11 game win streak

Washington Wild Things News Release
The Washington Wild Things (56-26), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, defeated the Chillicothe Paints by a score of 5-2, ending Chillicothe's 11 game win streak and extending their own win streak to 10 at Falconi Field Monday .
The Wild Things scored in the first inning when Chris Carter doubled to right center field and drove in Chris Sidick.
In the second inning Sidick singled to drive in David Reaver.
The Wild Things scored two more runs in the sixth inning when Ryan McGraw singled to left center, driving in Mike Arbinger and Ryan McGraw scored an unearned run.
The Paints answered in the seventh inning when Brian Colopy hit a fly and drove in Brian Hipps. Doug Dreher then drove in Jeff Funaro.
In the eighth inning, Washington's Andy Hudak drove in Randy McGarvey.
Ryan Douglass (11-3) got the win, allowing nine hits, two (earned) runs, and striking out five in seven innings of work. Stephen Spragg gets his 10th save, allowing only one hit and striking out four.
The Wild Things meet the Chillicothe Paints again Tuesday when the first 1,000 fans will receive a Wild Thing Super Hero Bobble Head, courtesy of Washington Federal Savings Bank and WJPA 95.3 FM. RHP Matt Brumit (5-1) will take the mound for the Wild Things and LHP Keith Ferguson (1-0) is scheduled to pitch for the Paints.
