LANSING, Mich. - A pair of wild pitches plated the go-ahead run at the Lansing Lugnuts (22-29, 54-66) topped the Fort Wayne TinCaps (22-29, 54-66), 3-2, on Wednesday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.

After Daniel Klein reached on a single to open up the top of the seventh inning, left fielder Ian Parmley moved him to second with a sacrifice bunt.

A wild pitch by Fort Wayne reliever Tyler Wood (Loss, 0-1) allowed Klein to move to third. One batter later, reliever Eric Yardley sailed a pitch over catcher Ryan Miller to score Klein from third.

The TinCaps had tied the game in the top half of the seventh on a pair of RBI infield singles by Trea Turner and Dustin Peterson, but Lansing lefty Scott Silverstein (Win, 11-4) came in to strand runners on the corners.

Brady Dragmire (Save, 1) pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning to finish off the Lansing win.

The Lugnuts took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning on RBI singles by D.J. Davis and David Harris.

Lansing starting pitcher Brent Powers allowed just one hit in his five scoreless frames and notched a season-high seven strikeouts.

Lansing and Fort Wayne play the rubber match of the three-game set on Thursday night at Cooley Law School Stadium. Right-hander Brad Allen (3-5, 3.79) will start for the Lugnuts, and righty Cody Hebner (1-2, 2.40) is on the mound for the TinCaps.
