Whitehead and Mastrodomenico Named to Midterm Rankings

LINCOLN, Neb. - Stars goaltender Cameron Whitehead and defenseman Michael Mastrodomenico were named to the NHL Central Scouting's Midterm Rankings list on Wednesday.

Whitehead, 18, slotted in at No. 4 among North American goaltenders. The Orleans, ON native currently posts a 7-3-1 record with a goals-against average (GAA) of 2.63 and a save percentage of .913.

The Northeastern commit was selected by Lincoln in the tenth round of the 2021 USHL Entry Draft (146th overall).

Mastrodomenico, 17, was ranked 79th among all North American skaters. Through 25 games this season, he's scored four goals and added seven assists.

The Kirkland, QC-born blueliner appeared in 37 games last year, amassing eight points. He is committed to the University of Notre Dame.

The 2022 NHL Entry Draft is scheduled to take place at Bell Centre in Montreal, with the first round set for July 7th and Rounds 2-7 on July 8th. The 2020 and 2021 NHL Drafts were held virtually due to COVID-19.
