Musketeers Place 9 on Central Scouting Midterm List

(Sioux City, IA) - Eight Musketeer skaters and one goaltender are on the NHL Central Scouting Midterm List released today. The list ranks the top NHL Draft eligible players from North America.

The highest-ranked Musketeer is forward Dylan James at #67. James is currently third on the team in scoring with 8 goals and 15 assists. Also earning a spot on the list is forward Nick Pierre (9 goals, 6 assists) at #170, defenseman Garrett Brown (1 goal, 3 assists) at #185, and goaltender Axel Mangbo (3.01 GAA, .893 SV%) pegged as the 9th best goaltender. Sioux City also has four future players on the list with Dylan Godbout (Hill-Murray High School) ranked #149, William Hughes (Dexter Southfield) #165, Finn Loftus (Blaine High School) #220, and Duncan Ramsay (Kimball Union Academy) #222. Former Musketeer David Gucciardi who is currently playing for Michigan State ranks 74th.

Musketeers GM Andy Johnson is excited for the young men on the list and the organization. "Our number one goal is player development, so for us to have nine guys on this is something to be really proud of. For the guys that are currently here they've worked really hard, put the time in and the coaching staff has helped develop them and they deserve to be on the list. It's a feather in our cap and we are looking to add to that list," Johnson explained when asked about the new rankings.
