
NHL Central Scouting Includes Three Steel Skaters on 2022 NHL Draft Watch List

GENEVA, ILLINOIS - The NHL Central Scouting Mid-Season Watch List for the 2022 NHL Draft, released Wednesday, includes three current Chicago Steel players listed in the top 90 out of 227 total North American skaters.
"We're thrilled to see the hard work and performance of Zam Plante, Nick Moldenhauer, and Jake Livanavage recognized by NHL Central Scouting," said Steel General Manager Mike Garman. "Additionally, several of their teammates are generating quite a bit of NHL buzz. What we're most proud of is the hard work and dedication these guys all have to their game and our team as a whole. We're grateful to have them as part of our organization."
The players listed by NHL Central Scouting on the current Steel roster are as follows:

The Steel are coming off the heels of the two most successful NHL Drafts in franchise history with a total of eight players with Chicago ties selected in both the 2020 and 2021 NHL Drafts. In both years, the Steel had the most draft picks of any independent junior team in the world.
In total, the United States Hockey League has 45 current players named on the mid-season list.
The Steel are back in action with a home game this weekend, Star Wars Night on Saturday, Jan. 15 with a post-game skate for fans following game action. The contest against the Youngstown Phantoms is scheduled for a 7:05 pm puck drop.
