
Whitecaps Returning Home For Action Packed Homestand

COMSTOCK PARK -The West Michigan Whitecaps will be back home this Tuesday, May 5 for a six-game homestand against the Beloit Snappers and Clinton LumberKings. The homestand will be packed with action on and off the field.
The Whitecaps will kick off the homestand Tuesday, May 5 against Beloit at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday is Bob Evans Senior Night. Fans 50 or older get half off box or reserved seats.
Wednesday, May 6 is Preparedness Night at the ballpark, part of Priority Health Wellness Wednesday. Police, fire and mobile medical response teams will be on hand for pre-game festivities including interactive displays before the Whitecaps' 6:35 p.m. game against Beloit. Fans can also stick around after the game for a post-game lap around the warning track.
The series finale against Beloit is scheduled for Thursday, May 7 at 6:35 p.m. Thursday is an Altogas Thrifty Thursday. Fans can purchase two hot dogs, 20 oz. beers, 22 oz. sodas and soft pretzels for $2 each.
The Whitecaps kick off their series with Clinton on Friday, May 8 at 6:35 p.m. The First 1,000 fans will receive Magglio Ordonez bobbleheads courtesy of Sandy Pines RV Resort.
Saturday, May 9 will feature a pre-game baseball clinic with Whitecaps players at 5:15 p.m. and the kickoff of the Saturday night Farm Bureau Insurance fireworks series after the game. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 10 is Sprint Breast Cancer Awareness Day. The Whitecaps will be wearing pink alternate jerseys that will be auctioned off for charity after the game. Also, the first 1,500 fans will receive pink breast cancer awareness t-shirts. Sunday is a Helen Devos Children's Hospital Family Day. The first 1,000 kids eat free. Kids are also welcome to play catch on the field and run the bases after the game, courtesy of Lake Michigan Credit Union.
Fans will be treated to some great baseball during the homestand. Beloit's roster features two of the Minnesota Twins' top 10 prospects, right-handed pitcher Shooter Hunt and outfielder Angel Morales.
The Clinton series figures to be exciting as well. The LumberKings are currently fighting for first place in the Midwest League Western Division and feature Seattle Mariners' top 10 prospect Mario Martinez.
