West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Whitecaps fans won't have to play Monopoly this week to enjoy "Free Parking." The Whitecaps front office announced today that parking for this Saturday's 7:00 pm game against the Great Lakes Loons will be FREE, until 5:30 pm. Gates for Saturday's game open at 5:00 pm. Parking for 2012 Whitecaps games is $5.00 for cars and $8.00 for buses or RVs.
"This is something new we're offering fans" said Whitecaps Vice-President Jim Jarecki. "In the past we've offered specials on tickets, concession and souvenirs but a special on parking will be a first for us. We encourage fans to come out early, take advantage of the free parking then stick around for a great fireworks display after the game."
The Whitecaps wrap up a six-game road trip with the finale of a three-game series against the Great Lakes Loons at 7:05 p.m. on Monday night. RHP Tommy Collier (3-4, 2.60) is scheduled to take the mound for West Michigan against RHP Ryan O'Sullivan (4-3, 3.42) of Great Lakes. The next home game at Fifth Third Ballpark will take place on Wednesday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m. featuring an appearance by the chainsaw-juggling Mad Chad and post-game fireworks. Group and individual tickets can be reserved by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131 or visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com.
