Franchise-Record Eight Players Named to Midwest League

Bowling Green, KY - On behalf of the Midwest League, a franchise-record eight Bowling Green Hot Rods have been named 2012 Midwest League All-Stars. The Hot Rods will place three starting position players, two reserve position players, and three pitchers on the 2012 Eastern Division All-Star roster. Bowling Green is sending the most players out of any other Midwest League team to the 2012 MWL All-Star Classic on June 19 in Geneva, Illinois.
The following three Hot Rods have been named starters for the 2012 Eastern Division All-Star squad:
1B Jeff Malm - Las Vegas, NV
3B Tyler Goeddel - Hillsborough, CA
OF Josh Sale - Seattle, WA
The following two Hot Rods have been named reserves for the 2012 Eastern Division All-Star squad:
C Matt Rice - Johnson City, TN
2B Ryan Brett - Seattle, WA
The following three Hot Rods have been named pitchers for the 2012 Eastern Division All-Star squad:
RHP Jake Floethe - Martinez, CA
LHP Felipe Rivero - San Felipe, Venezuela
LHP Jake Partridge - Spokane, WA
The Kane County Cougars are hosting the 2012 MWL All-Star Classic at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. The coaching staffs from the Kane County Cougars and the Lansing Lugnuts will man the Western Division and Eastern Division squads, respectively.
