NEWS & NOTES:

PK Power: Despite not having Ridly Greig in the lineup, Brandon has killed 10 of their last 11 penalties, including all five penalties they took on Saturday night. That number is only amplified by the fact that entering play last weekend, Winnipeg had scored a WHL high 43 powerplay goals on just 134 chances (32.1%). Brandon has only allowed one powerplay goal in their last three games.

Gin and Tonic: Calgary, AB native Riley Ginnell recorded his first two-goal game on Friday night. Ginnell has points in two-straight (2G-1A) and has already surpassed his career high in goals, assists and points this season.

Dish it Vinny: Washington Capitals prospect Vinny Iorio enters play tonight riding a six game point streak. Iorio has at least a point in 10 of his last 12 games.

Happy Holiday: The Wheat Kings have posted an impressive 6-2-1-0 record in the month of December. Following a busy pre-Christmas schedule, things quiet down for the BWK as the calendar flips to January. Brandon will play three straight games at home (Dec 27, 30 & Jan 1) before heading out on the road for four straight in Alberta
