The Winnipeg ICE have recalled defenseman Jonas Woo from the Winnipeg Bruins of the Manitoba AAA U18 Hockey League.
The 5'9", 150 pound blue liner, from Winnipeg, registered one shot on goal and is plus one in two games with the ICE this season.
He was selected in the first round, 18th overall in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
Woo has 18 points (3 goals and 15 assists) and 26 penalty minutes in 21 games with the Bruins this season.
Woo was named to the All Star Team at the 2021 WHL Cup where in five games he had two assists and four penalty minutes.
Last season with the Winnipeg Warriors U15 AAA team, he registered 12 points (five goals and seven assists) in five games.
The ICE open a four game road trip tonight in Brandon (6:30 on CFRW 1290).
It's the fifth meeting of the season between the ICE and Wheat Kings in the Battle of Manitoba presented by Taylor McCaffery Lawyers.
