Wheat Kings Announce 2018-19 Season Ticket Plans
March 5, 2018 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Brandon, MB. - Brandon Wheat Kings 2018 Playoff Packages and 2018-19 Season Tickets are now on sale and the Western Hockey League club has announced some exciting news for those that renew their tickets.
In addition to holding the line on season ticket prices for next season fans will receive a limited edition Ron Hextall Wheat Kings bobblehead when purchased by the June Early Bird Deadline.
Wheat Kings are also pleased to introduce exciting family affordable options this season in an effort to make season tickets more convenient and affordable for fans. For the first time ever, season ticket holders will have the option to pay for their tickets on a monthly basis. As well, the Wheat Kings will be offering a 50% discount on children's season tickets ($99 plus GST) for fans that purchase two or more adult season tickets.
Season ticket prices for the 2018-19 season will be increasing to $475 for adults, $425 for seniors, $325 for youth and $200 for children (12 and under) after the June 14th Early Bird Deadline. By renewing now by the deadline, fans will save $25 and enjoy Wheat Kings' hockey next season for just over $13 per game, which represents one of the least expensive season tickets in the 22-team league.
Meanwhile for those that do renew their season tickets and playoff package by the Monday, March 19th deadline, they will receive a $5 saving off regular box office prices on all playoff home games at Westoba Place, scheduled to begin later this month
With less than two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Wheat Kings find themselves in a real battle for a WHL Eastern Conference playoff berth and should they punch their ticket to the playoffs for the fifth straight season and for the 12th time in the past thirteen years, they will be unable to play the opening round at Westoba Place due to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair. As a result, the Wheat Kings have announced plans to play their first round games at Credit Union Place in Dauphin during the week of March 26th.
Should Brandon advance to round two, all remaining home games will be played in Brandon.
This marks the fifth straight season that the Wheat Kings have offered this special playoff offer. In a letter mailed out to existing season ticket holders this week, Owner/Governor Kelly McCrimmon says that the reason to continue this initiative include 1) the hockey club wants to thank its existing season ticket holders 2) Wheat Kings want to begin the season ticket renewal process as early as possible and 3) The Wheat Kings want true home ice advantage by having as much local support as possible.
Current Season Ticket Holders renewal forms are currently in the mail. If you would like to come on board as a new Season Ticket Holder for the 2018-19 season, please email us at office@wheatkings.com or call our office at 204-726-3535.
The Wheat Kings, who play host to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Tuesday night, have seven games remaining in the regular season - four at home and three on the road.
