LAST TIME OUT

On March 2, 2019, the Westchester Knicks (26-18), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, ran past the Wisconsin Herd (9-31), 123-95, Saturday night at Menominee Nation Arena.

Wisconsin's Xavier Munford netted a 16-foot jumpshot 25 seconds into the contest to roll out scoring but Jameel Warney's turnaround hook shot for the Knicks at the 9:38 mark eliminated the Herd's lone lead for the game. A Warney layup two possessions after put the Knicks back in the driver's seat where they competed from for the duration of the game.

Warney's line included 22 points on 55.6-percent shooting, his fourth consecutive 20-point game, seven rebounds, four assists and a pair of made triples.

Billy Garrett and Stephen Zimmerman each led the Knicks with 23 points apiece. Zimmerman missed just two looks on the night and drained 11 for an 84.6-percent clip while leading Westchester on the glass with nine rebounds. Two-Way player Kadeem Allen handed out a game-high eight helpers.

Wisconsin's Munford was one of six Herd players in double-figures, ending with 17 points. Robert Johnson gave a team-high 21-point effort. Shevon Thompson loaned a double-double which included 10 points and 12 boards.

Westchester has beaten Wisconsin three times this season on a 32.3-point average margin.

LAST MEETING

On January 21, The Westchester Knicks (17-13), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, took the Windy City Bulls (15-14) to overtime but fell 97-94, Monday afternoon at Sears Centre.

Two-Way Player Kadeem Allen put together a 5-0 run with 38.6 ticks pictured on the clock, which included a three-pointer off the glass and pullup in the lane, to force the extra session, 87-up.

In overtime, the Bulls went up six within the first 1:36. Allen knocked in another triple and a lay-in that put the Knicks back within three, 95-92, with 14.7 seconds remaining. Working against the clock, the Knicks put the Bulls at the line four times where Windy City converted just two, but empty ensuing Knicks' possessions froze their comeback.

Jameel Warney posted a season-high 31 points and now has led the Knicks in scoring for four consecutive games. He also tied a game-high 12 rebounds, along with teammate Zak Irvin, and drained a pair of threes. Allen ended with 18 points after going scoreless through the first half of play. He also collected six rebounds and dealt a team-high five assists. Two-Way Player Isaiah Hicks ended with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Walter Lemon Jr. took command of Windy City's scoring netting 24 points and distributing eight assists. CJ Fair contributed 22 points on 64.3-percent shooting.

The Knicks were up by as many as 12 points while the Bulls largest lead was seven. The Bulls' victory evens this season's series with the Knicks, 1-1.

Devon Baulkman went a perfect 6-of-6 from the field against Lakeland (2/24) and 2-of-2 from distance for 14 points. Against Grand Rapids (2/22) and Lakeland (2/24), he shot 64.3-percent from the field and 66.7-percent from distance. This follows a two-game span where he shot 30.4-percent from the field and 33.3-percent from the perimeter. Against Greensboro (2/28), he failed to find the bottom of the net but scored 17 points on 53.8-perecnt shooting against Wisconsin (3/2).

THE ALLEN EFFECT

When Kadeem Allen registers eight or more assists in a game, Westchester is 10-3, 4-2 at home and 6-1 on the road. In those 13 games, he accounts for 37-percent of the team's assists (128-of-346). Of the Knicks currently with the team, Jameel Warney leads the team in scoring with 21.5 ppg but only appeared in six of those contests. Isaiah Hicks' six assists against Lakeland (2/24) tied his career-high, first written against Rio Grande Valley (2/11).

SEASON LOW

Zak Irvin scored six points against Lakeland (2/24) which is the fewest in 19 games. Before Lakeland, Irvin scored double-figures for eight straight games. Against Lakeland, Irvin played just under 20 minutes before exiting the game early due to a back injury. He still grabbed a game-high 10 boards before his departure.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE WATSON

Paul Watson scored 20 points on 81.8-percent shooting against Greensboro (2/29) and tied a career-high 10 rebounds. His only other 20-point and 10-rebound effort came against Capital City (2/12) when he netted 25 points and collected 10 boards. The only other time Watson grabbed 10 rebounds came last year versus Windy City (3/16/18) which accompanied nine points on 37.5-percent shooting.

Paul Watson scored in double-figures nine times last season with just one 20-point performance. Watson scored a season-high 22 points against Fort Wayne (12/26/17) on 72.7-percent shooting where he also drained four triples on 80-perecnt shooting.
