Clippers Streak Ends, Drop Crucial Game to Memphis

ONTARIO, Calif., Mar. 5, 2019 - The Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (22-20) drop their first game since the All-Star break and lose ground in the playoff race, falling to the Memphis Hustle (23-20), 138-120, on Tuesday night.

Winners of their previous six, the Clippers are now looking the outside in, falling from the fifth playoff spot to seventh in the West. They sit half a game behind Sioux Falls and Memphis, who hold the final two playoff spots.

Angel Delgado led the Clippers' efforts with a huge double-double of 33 points and 23 rebounds. Jerome Robinson added 21 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

The Hustle, who led by as many as 21 points, dominated possession and took advantage of 23 Clipper turnovers, putting up 104 shot attempts to the Clippers 85 and shooting 53.8 percent from the field.

Memphis was led by Jevon Carter, who scored 32 points on 12-of-22 shooting to go along with nine assists. Dusty Hannahs added 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting off the bench.

The Clippers look to regain ground in the playoff race with on Thursday night when they travel across town to take on the South Bay Lakers. Winners of the previous two meetings, Agua Caliente looks to continue the trend in the third installment of a four game season series. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. PDT inside the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, CA.
