POWER REPLAY: West Virginia dropped the series finale at Lexington 7-1. The Legends plated two in the first and five in the fifth against Brandon Cumpton and the Power bullpen. West Virginia's lone run was tallied in the third on a single by Drew Maggi. Cumpton took the loss and saw personal six game winning streak stopped.

BRING ON THE BIRDS: West Virginia trails the all-time set 41-38, and have gone 26-18 at home against Delmarva since 2005. The Power took 10 of 18 last season, including nine of 13 at Appalachian Power Park. West Virginia and Delmarva will meet five more times this season after this series; the final five days of the regular slate in Septmenber. West Virginia won three out of four games at Delmarva a week and a half ago.

STREAKING STAR: Drew Maggi extended his hitting streak last night to nine games with a single in four at bats. Maggi has 12 hits over his last 37 at bats and has matched Matt Curry for the longest streak by a Power player this season. Curry hit .484 during his streak, which ended right before his promotion to Altoona, while Maggi is batting .324 over his last nine games.

BACK FOR MORE: Rogelio Noris hit 15 home runs for West Virginia during the 2010 season and has added four to that total so far this season. Stephen Chapman holds the single-season record with 24, which is also the most by any player during his respective stint with West Virginia. Noris is tied for fourth all-time in Power history with 19 career home runs, matching Sefan Wilson and trailing only Chapman, Kenny Holmberg (22), and Kyle Morgan (20).

WHITE TO THE DL: The Pittsburgh Pirates placed Cole White on the disabled list on Friday, retroactive to June 1. White appeared in one game for the Power on May 31, going 1-2 before leaving with an injury sustained while running out a single. To replace White on the active roster, Pittsburgh promoted Chase Lyles from Extended Spring. Lyles was selected in the 32nd round of the 2010 draft from Northwestern State (LA) University, and played in 55 games for State College last season.

FSL ALL-STARS: Five former Power players were named to the 2011 Florida State League South Divison All-Star squad on Thursday. Kyle McPherson, Brett Lorin, Ramon Cabrera, Jarek Cunningham, and Aaron Baker will represent the Bradenton Marauders in the mid-season classic, to be played one June 18 at Clearwater. Cabrera and Baker were also named All-Stars in 2010 while playing for West Virginia. The 2011 South Atlantic League All-Star teams will be announced on Tuesday.

PINPOINT CONTROL: West Virginia pitchers have combined to walk just 112 batters this season, the fewest in the SAL. Power pitchers have also walked the fewest batters in all of professional baseball.

POWER POINTS: The Power will make up the May 3 rainout against Greensboro on June 14 at 5:30 pm as part of a doubleheader... Last Tuesday's game was played in front of 5,570 fans, the largest crowd of the season at Appalachian Power Park... Dan Grovatt's seven game hitting streak was stopped Thursday with an 0-3 performance... Victor Black has not allowed a base hit in any of his first three appearances so far this season, and has only allowed on base runner... Andy Vasquez went hitless last night and had his second six-game hitting streak of the season stopped.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh beat Philadelphia 6-3 and are trying for a series sweep this afternoon.. Indianapolis's game with Syracuse was suspended in the sixth... Altoona lost 4-0 to Portland... Bradenton was held to two hits in a loss to Charlotte..
