July 10, 2003 - Frontier League (FL)
Washington Wild Things News Release
Did you dream about playing baseball in the big leagues with Bill Mazeroski, Willie Stargell, Kent Tekulve, and Roberto Clemente? If growing up you pretended to be Dave Parker shagging fly balls in your backyard, Falconi Field has an opportunity for you ... even if you have grown up.
Falconi Field will host the first Wild Things' Baseball Fantasy Camp August 15-17. The camp will be "major league fun." Pittsburgh Pirates' Legends Kent Tekulve, Grant Jackson, John Candelaria, and Jim Rooker will be there to "pitch in."
Each participant in the Fantasy Camp will receive an official and personalized Wild Things' uniform in a clubhouse locker. All teams will play alongside Pirates' Legends in seven inning games and trophies will be awarded to top performing teams. Meals will be provided daily and on Sunday, the final camp, there will be a Dinner Award Ceremony.
Enjoy great camaraderie with fellow "Dreamers" and Pirates Legends â John Candelaria, Grant Jackson, Jim Rooker, and your host Kent Tekulve.
The Washington Wild Things look forward to seeing you share the limelight with some of your childhood heroes!
Reservations are currently being accepted. Call 724-250-9555 or refer to the Wild Things' website at www.washingtonwildthings.com for more information. Falconi Field is located off 1-70 in Washington, PA.
