Warriors Look for Rebound in Brandon

Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
Moose Jaw, SK - The Moose Jaw Warriors' week didn't start as planned, but the team is focused on finishing it strong this weekend.
The Warriors will travel to Brandon on Friday to kick-off the weekend with a showdown against the Wheat Kings.
Coming off a 5-1 loss at home to Red Deer on Wednesday, the Warriors are focused on putting together a bounce back performance.
"Red Deer just wanted it more than we did," Warriors forward Brayden Yager said on the loss. "We kind of got pushed around a little bit, so if we can show a little bit of push back and compete harder.
"Work ethic is the main thing and then just letting our skill take care of itself."
The Warriors will face two stiff tests this weekend as they battle two East Division foes. After Friday's trip to Brandon, Moose Jaw returns home to take on the Eastern Conference-leading Saskatoon Blades on Saturday.
"It would be nice to get four big points, starting with Brandon, go there, have a bounce back game and then carry that into Saskatoon," Yager said.
"These are two pretty solid teams, especially Saskatoon's a really good team, so we're going to have to have all four lines going and we'll set ourselves up for a big game."
The Warriors are 2-2 against the Wheat Kings this season, including a 4-3 overtime win in their last meeting on Nov. 9 at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
Yager said Brandon will test the Warriors' puck management.
"When we turnover pucks, it's not a good thing, so if we can manage the puck and play behind them first, then if we lose the puck 200-feet from our net, then we can at least give ourselves a chance to track back fast enough and kill their plays early," he said.
The Warriors and Wheat Kings meet at 7 p.m. on Friday night in Brandon. Moose Jaw will then host the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday night for Teddy Bear Toss Night at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
