
Warriors Deal Two for Future Considerations

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced wingers Lindsay Sparks and Sebastien Geoffrion have been traded to the Cincinnati Cyclones and Missouri Mavericks respectively. Both deals are for future considerations. In addition, defenseman Alex Lepkowski has been released from his tryout and signed to a contract.
Geoffrion, 25, played 55 games last season with the Arizona Sundogs (Central Hockey League) and produced 14 points (5g, 9a) with 168 penalty minutes. He began his professional career with Arizona during the 2012-13 campaign following a four-year career at the University of Alabama-Huntsville. The Brentwood, Tennessee native recorded 17 points (8g, 9a) with 254 penalty minutes in 106 collegiate games.
Sparks, 24, split his first full professional season between Greenville and the South Carolina Stingrays last year. In 43 games, he registered 21 points (7g, 14a) and 20 penalty minutes, including eight points (2g, 6a) and eight penalty minutes with the Road Warriors. A native of Oakville, Ontario, Sparks began his pro career with the Fort Wayne Komets in 2012-13 following a four-year career at the University of Michigan. In 83 collegiate games, he notched 35 points (17g, 18a) and 62 penalty minutes.
Lepkowski, 26, spent the majority of last season with the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The Buffalo, New York native also made his pro debut and played eight games with the AHL's Rochester Americans and one other game with Greenville. Prior to last season, the 6'4, 204-pound defenseman played four seasons in the OHL with the Saginaw Spirit and Barrie Colts. Lepkowski was drafted in the fifth round (#137 overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
The Road Warriors currently have 21 players on their active Training Camp Roster (listed below). The opening day roster must be at 20 active players with an additional injured reserve spot available.
