Walleye Roster Changes

Toledo, OH - Forward Shane Berschbach has been assigned to Toledo from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL. The Walleye have traded forward Chris Knowlton to the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL in exchange for future considerations and have also released forward Mike Seidel.

Berschbach, a native of Royal Oak, Michigan, has appeared in one game this year for the Griffins with no points. The 23-year-old spent the last four years at Western Michigan University. As a Bronco, Berschbach posted 39 goals and 78 assists as was a plus 27 in 146 games. He set career highs as a senior with 16 goals, 22 assists and 38 points. In 2012, the 5'10", 165 forward helped Western Michigan to a CCHA Tournament Championship.

Both Knowlton and Seidel played in the two preseason games for the Walleye over the past weekend. Knowlton had one assist, while Seidel did not collect a point.
