Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack is announcing that they have dealt veteran defenseman Connor Walters to the Hamilton Bulldogs in exchange for a 5th Round Draft pick in 2019 and an 8th Round Draft pick in 2016.
Walters, 18 was in his second full season with the Attack and appeared in 92 regular season games over a three year span after playing 15 games as an underage player in 2013/2014. Over that time, the Welland native tallied 11 assists to go along with a +3 rating and 12 penalty minutes. Walters buried the lone goal of his Attack career in Game 1 of the 2015 Western Conference Quarter Finals against the Guelph Storm.
"With nine defenseman on our roster, something had to give at some point.", said Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. "All nine defenseman on our roster have the ability to play every game and deserve to play every game. This is an opportunity for Connor to go Hamilton and do just that."
The entire Attack organization wishes Connor nothing but the best both in his hockey career and other future endeavours.
