Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos activated RHP Shane Dyer from the disabled list on Thursday. Dyer's return to the bullpen gives the Wahoos a full roster before the second half of the season begins.
The right-handed pitcher had an 0-2 record with a 3.50 ERA before he was placed on the disabled list with an injured back on June 3rd. Dyer had taken on the closer role for the Wahoos and earned five saves in six tries over the first two months of the season. Dyer struck out 21 batters over 18.0 innings of work before heading to the disabled list.
Dyer has not pitched since May 24th, when he earned a three-strikeout save against the Birmingham Barons at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium.
