
Vitali Pinchuk Competing in IIHF U20 Division 1A World Championship

The 2020 IIHF U20 Division 1A World Hockey Championship is underway in Minsk, Belarus, and five OHL players are representing their respective countries on the world stage.
Four Belarusian talents are playing on home ice this week as Flint Firebirds teammates Vladislav Kolyachonok and Evgeniy Oksentyuk join Kingston's Vitali Pinchuk and Saginaw's Ilya Solovyov on Team Belarus.
Peterborough Petes defenceman David Maier is representing his native Austria.
The annual tournament began on Monday and features six countries including Austria, Belarus, Denmark, Latvia, Norway and Slovenia. The winner of the tournament will advance to the 2021 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship while the last place team is relegated to next year's U20 Division 1B World Championship.
