
Vipers Fall to the Mad Ants

FT. WAYNE, Indiana - Rio Grande Valley Vipers (9-8) fell to Fort Wayne Mad Ants (8-7) on the road, 110-126. Bruno Caboclo earned a double-double racking up 21 points and 11 rebounds in addition to five blocks and a lone steal. Caboclo for the sixth time this season has tallied over 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The Vipers started off with a fast-paced 28-19 lead in the first quarter, but the Mad Ants jumped on board as the second quarter came around. Alize Johnson earned a double-double in the first half of the game with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Sampson racked up 17 points for the Vipers by half time.
Both Sampson and Caboclo finished with 21 points tonight for the Vipers. Rockets assignee, Isaiah Hartenstein, fell short for a double-double as he racked up 14 points and nine rebounds. He also tallied up three blocks and two steals.
For the Mad Ants, Johnson kept hot as he finished with 22 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Stephan Hicks led Fort Wayne with 26 points. Tra-Deon Hollins fell short for a double-double as he totaled nine points and 10 assists.
