Darius Johnson-Odom Leads Wolves in Emphatic Comeback Win over Skyforce

Sioux Falls, SD - Darius Johnson-Odom scored a season-high 34 points while leading the Iowa Wolves (6-11) to a 119-112 comeback victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce (11-7) Monday night at the Sanford Pentagon.

Trailing by as many as 25 points in the first half, Iowa would outscore Sioux Falls 66-47 in the final two quarters of play to earn its first road victory in December.

Johnson-Odom shot 9-of-18 from the floor, including a perfect 14-of-14 from the free throw line in the win. The Marquette guard added seven rebounds, six assists and two steals in 38 minutes of play off the bench for Iowa.

Two-way guard Jared Terrell posted 21 points and seven rebounds while scoring on 9-of-15 shot attempts.

As a team the Wolves shot 46.2% from the field while sinking a season-high 32 free throws (32-44, 72.7%).

Only once in tonight's game was there a lead change, when Iowa took a 92-91 edge with 9:19 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Defensively, Iowa forced Sioux Falls into a season-high 22 turnovers.

Two-way player Yante Maten finished with a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds. Three players for the Skyforce, including Maten, fouled out late in the fourth quarter.

Iowa continues regular season play with two games at the NBA G League Showcase, beginning with a Wednesday, Dec. 19 matchup against the Westchester Knicks at 5:30 p.m. CT.
