Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Hustle today announced the team has acquired forward Nino Johnson via the available player pool. Johnson is a Memphis native and alum of White Station High School. Additionally, Johnson attended the team's annual open tryout in Memphis this fall.
Johnson (6-9, 245) has also played professionally in Iceland, Finland and Poland, spending the 2017-18 season with Thor AK Akureyri of the Icelandic Dominos League. In 11 games (nine starts), he averaged 17.5 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.82 blocks in 28.5 minutes per game.
Collegiately, Johnson spent four seasons at Southeast Missouri State (2011-15), appearing in 119 games (78 starts) while averaging 8.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.52 blocks in 23.2 minutes per game.
