GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers, have announced final plans for opening weekend at the BI-LO Center this Friday and Saturday. Verizon Wireless is the presenting sponsor for the opening weekend festivities, including entertainment options for fans of all ages.

Group Promotions: à Scout Night (pre-purchased groups receive Opening Night Scout Patches) â in excess of 1,500 tickets purchased in advance à Laurens Hope Foundation à Pepsi 2-Liter promotional sale ($1.00 for each 2-liter Pepsi or Diet Pepsi â proceeds donate to Laurens Hope Foundation; chance to receive ticket discounts with purchase; 3pm-7:00pm and after the game) à Verizon Wireless has donated 125 tickets to the Senior Action Center of Greenville, Phyllis Wheatley's Upstate Fatherhood Coalition and Special Olympics of South Carolina.

The Grrrowl will open the 2004-05 schedule with a home game on Friday, October 22, 2004 (opening weekend presented by Verizon Wireless) against the Charlotte Checkers.
