
Varem Returns to Skyforce

Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release
The Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League have reacquired forward Jeff Varem. The 6-6, 240-pound forward from Washington State is expected to be in uniform when the Skyforce hosts the Los Angeles D-Fenders at Sioux Falls Arena tonight.
Varem was waived Jan. 31 due to injury after playing in 24 games (17 starts), averaging 9.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in 29.8 minutes for the Skyforce. He participated in NBA summer league action with the Phoenix Suns in the summer of 2006.
He spent the 2005-06 season in France with Pau-Orthez. In 30 French ProA League games he averaged 5.6 points and 3.8 rebounds and in 14 Euroleague games he averaged 4.0 points and 3.0 rebounds. Born in Benue, Nigeria, Varem played with the Nigerian National Team in the 2006 World Championships in Japan, averaging 3.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in six games.
As a senior at Washington State (2004-05) he averaged 10.5 points and a team-high 7.8 rebounds in 28 games.
