Tulsa 66ers News Release
TULSA, Okla., Feb. 9, 2007 - Luke Jackson scored six points in the final 1:30 to help Idaho (20-9) top Tulsa (13-17) 101-96 Friday night at Expo Square Pavilion.
Jackson led all scorers with 22 points as the Stampede won their third-straight game.
The 66ers looked to be on their way to a dominating performance after hitting 12-of-18 field goals in the first quarter and building a 32-19 lead.
Idaho found its rhythm in the second quarter. Center Mouhamed Sene, assigned to Idaho by the Seattle Sonics, scored 10 of his 12 points during a 16-3 run. Sene also finished with a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Stampede dominated the paint, outscoring Tulsa 66-42. Jeff Graves and Peter Ramos were key in that domination, combining for 36 points and 11 rebounds.
The 66ers, losers of two in a row, were led by John Edwards' career-best 20 points off the bench. Denham Brown (14), Jean Felix (12), Alan Anderson (12) and Mike Hall (10) also finished in double-figures. Will Conroy, making his return to Tulsa after a 10-day stint with the Memphis Grizzlies, was back to his old self. He finished with 13 points and a game-high 12 assists.
The 66ers make their last home appearance, before a three-week road tour, Saturday night against the Albuquerque Thunderbirds at Expo Square Pavilion. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
