Vancouver Returns Climie to Chicago

The Vancouver Canucks have recalled goaltender MATT CLIMIE from the Chicago Wolves.

CLIMIE backed up the Canucks 2-1 overtime victory against the Ottawa Senators Sunday night after being recalled earlier that morning.

The 28-year-old netminder has posted a 5-2-0 record in seven outings with the Wolves this season. He has won his last four outings and ranks third in the American Hockey League with a .940 save percentage and eighth with a 2.16 goals-against average.

The Leduc, Alberta, native registered a 26-22-3 record with a 2.64 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in 55 AHL outings with the San Antonio Rampage last season. His 26 victories ranked seventh in the league while his .913 save percentage shared 18th. He also appeared in one NHL outing with the Phoenix Coyotes last year, allowing one goal in 32 minutes of action.
