
Utah's Final Home Stand Begins With Houston

Utah Grizzlies News Release
The Grizzlies (20-46-2-5) and the Houston Aeros (36-27-6-5) meet tonight for the ninth time this season with one game remaining against each other on the season's final day (Apr. 17) in Houston. Thus far, the Grizzlies are 3-5 versus the Aeros including 2-2 in the 'E' Center. Utah is playing some of their best hockey of the season lately earning points in three of their last four games (1-1-1-1). Erik Westrum has two goals and an assist in his last two games and continues to pace the Grizzlies with 17 goals. Houston is currently tied with Cincinnati for the third playoff spot and is sitting three points ahead of Grand Rapids for a playoff birth. The Aeros played last night in Milwaukee and dropped a 3-0 decision to the defending champs. After tonight's game the Grizzlies have just two home games remaining; Friday and Saturday night versus Grand Rapids.
Tonight's Storylines:
· Erik Westrum is third in the league with 265 shots on goal; he has three goals and an assist in his last five games
· Utah is 3-5 versus Houston this season with two of the wins coming in shootouts
· Utah is 9-0 when scoring 4+ goals in a game
· Eric Labelle scored his first AHL goal on Saturday in Grand Rapids
· Current Aeros David Bararuk, John Erskine and Mike Smith are all former Grizzlies
Next Game: The Grizzlies will host Grand Rapids on Friday with face-off scheduled for7:05 PM.
