Wolves Recall Berkhoel

The Chicago Wolves have recalled goaltender ADAM BERKHOEL (BUHRK-uhl) from the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.

BERKHOEL has recorded an 8-10-5 mark with a 2.45 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage in 23 appearances with Gwinnett. He has also registered a 0-1-0 record with a 4.04 goals-against average and a .875 save percentage in one game with the Wolves this year, his rookie season.

The St. Paul, Minn., native led the University of Denver to the 2004 NCAA Championship and was named the NCAA Championship Tournament MVP. BERKHOEL recorded a 24-11-4 mark with a 2.45 goals-against average in 39 games for the Pioneers.

The 23-year-old goaltender was acquired by the Thrashers from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for future considerations on June 27, 2004.
