LOOKING AHEAD:
Binghamton has won five in row from rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton heading into Wednesday night's meeting at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza... The Senators saw their 10-game points streak (7-0-0-3) end in Bridgeport on Sunday, and they remain one point out of first place in the East Division... The fourth-place Penguins, meanwhile, are winless in their last six (0-4-1-1) and have not won at home in more than a month... Jason Spezza has found the scoresheet in 14 straight games for the B-Sens, tied for the longest streak in the AHL this year... Pens forward Michel Ouellet, a 30-goal scorer in each of his first two AHL seasons, has not scored in 22 games since the All-Star break... Chicago hosts Cincinnati on Wednesday in a West Division tilt... The Wolves are two points up on Milwaukee for the lead in the West, while the Mighty Ducks are three points ahead of fifth-place Grand Rapids... Joffrey Lupul comes into the game having scored a goal in seven straight outings for Cincinnati; the last AHL'er to have an eight-game goal streak was the Ducks' Matt Cullen in 1997-98... Stephen Weiss has picked up a point in 12 consecutive games for Chicago... Kari Lehtonen is 4-1-0 with a 1.78 GAA against the Mighty Ducks this season; three other Wolves goaltenders are 0-4-0 with a 4.49 GAA... Cincinnati is 6-1-0-1 in its last eight road contests; Chicago is 11-1-1-1 in its last 14 at home.
Manchester takes on Portland on Wednesday looking to hang on to the top spot in the Atlantic Division... Manchester has a record of 7-0-0-1 in the season series, allowing a total of seven goals in eight games against the Pirates... Portland also has just eight goals in nine visits to the Verizon Wireless Arena over the past two seasons... Mike Cammalleri is one point shy of 100 on the year for Manchester, which ranks second in the AHL in both offense and defense... Monarchs forward Brad Smyth has hit the 20-goal mark for the eighth time in his AHL career... Brian Willsie has a goal in each of the Pirates' last three contests, and Boyd Gordon has five points in his last five games.
