Utah Jazz Assign Jeremy Evans to Utah Flash

NEW YORK, Mar. 4, 2011 - Utah Jazz forward Jeremy Evans was assigned to the Utah Flash, Utah's NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the 43rd time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Evans, a rookie out of Western Kentucky University.

Evans has appeared in 32 games for the Jazz this season, averaging 3.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in just under 7 minutes. Evans is also noted for his athleticism and his highlight dunks, even in limited minutes of play as a rookie.

Utah drafted Evans in the second around out of Western Kentucky University. The Jazz forwarded averaged 10 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in his senior season at WKU. Evans was also the MVP of the 2008 Sun Belt Conference Tournament and received the Danny Rumph Outstanding Teammate Award. Evans is WKU's all-time field goal percentage leader.
