IOWA'S OTHYUS JEFFERS SIGNS WITH SAN ANTONIO SPURS

The San Antonio Spurs signed guard Othyus Jeffers of the Iowa Energy for the 11th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2010-11 NBA Development League season. Jeffers' call-up increases the number of current NBA players with NBA D-League experience, including players currently on assignment to their NBA D-League affiliates, to 85. Jeffers (6-5, 200) has started 36 of 37 games with Iowa this season, leading the Energy to an East Conference-leading 30-10 record. An NBA D-League All-Star, Jeffers ranks among the league leaders in points (21.1 ppg, 2nd), rebounds (9.0 rpg, 7th) and steals (1.9 spg, 4th). Jeffers has scored in double figures in every game this season, and was twice selected as NBA D-League Performer of the Week. The 2009 NBA D-League Rookie of the Year, Jeffers earned a GATORADE Call-Up to the Utah Jazz last season. He played 14 regular season games with Utah, averaging 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 5.1 minutes. He also appeared in six playoff games with the Jazz.

Renaldo Major had 26 points and nine rebounds, and Mike Anderson added 25 points and eight rebounds as Dakota rallied for a one-point win over Maine. DeShawn Sims led Maine with 35 points, while Magnum Rolle added 20 off the bench in his return to Maine.

Marqus Blakely had 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Curtis Stinson added 22 points and 12 assists to lead Iowa past Springfield. Gavin Edwards led the Armos with 20 points.

Marcus Landry scored a game-high 24 points as Reno overcame an 18-point first-half deficit to defeat Fort Wayne. Anthony Richardson added 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Bighorns. Darnell Lazare led the Mad Ants with 20 points.

Seven players scored in double figures, led by 17 points from Antoine Walker, as Idaho defeated Sioux Falls. Cedric Jackson added 14 points and nine assists for the Stampede. Patrick Ewing Jr. had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Sioux Falls.

Leo Lyons led seven players in double figures with 32 points for Austin in a win over Texas. Justin Dentmon scored a game-high 35 points for Texas.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

Five players with NBA D-League experience competed in two NBA games last night, one as starters.

Denver's Chris Andersen scored 13 points in 14 minutes off the bench in a win over Utah.

Utah's C.J. Miles scored 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting off the bench in a loss to Denver.
