Montreal, April 30, 2003 – The Montreal Alouettes selected seven offensive players from their nine draft picks in today's Canadian College Draft, including first-round selection Andrew Noel, a big wide receiver with big expectations.

"We're very happy with each of our selections in today's draft and believe that each of our players have great potential to succeed in our league," said General Manager Jim Popp.

The Alouettes also drafted a quarterback, Laval's Mathieu Bertrand, in the fifth round.

The Alouettes will begin training camp on May 22 in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu when the rookies arrive and veterans will step on the field for the first time on May 25. The Alouettes play their first pre-season game on May 30 in Ottawa and play the second pre-season game on June 7 in Quebec City, which will mark the first time a CFL game is played in the city since 1959 and the second time ever.
