Cedar Rapids RoughRiders News Release

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have a lot to celebrate as two of their players, Eric Pohlkamp and Ryan Walsh, have been named to the All USHL First Team for the 2022-2023 season. This is a tremendous honor for both players and a testament to their hard work and dedication on the ice.

Eric Pohlkamp, the team's star defenseman, has had an outstanding season, leading the RoughRiders to a successful year. Pohlkamp's defensive skills are exceptional, and he is known for his ability to shut down opposing players and prevent them from scoring. In addition to his defensive contributions, Pohlkamp has also been a key player on offense, with an astounding 30 goals and 49 assists for a total of 79 points, second in the league for points.

Walsh's speed and agility on the ice have been a major asset to the RoughRiders this season, allowing him to make quick plays and score goals with his team supporting his play. Ryan Walsh broke a long standing RoughRiders points record a few weeks ago, and continues to bring horsepower to the RoughRiders.

Being named to the All USHL First Team is a significant achievement for both players. The USHL is one of the top junior hockey leagues in the United States, and being recognized as one of the top players in the league is a great honor.

The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders organization is proud of Pohlkamp and Walsh's achievements and congratulates them on their outstanding season.
