Muskegon Lumberjacks News Release

MUSKEGON, MI - First year Lumberjack, Sacha Boisvert has been named to the USHL All-Rookie Second Team. The nomination is voted upon by coaches and general managers around the league as a part of the end of season awards.

"Sacha was a difference maker for us all season long. Not only could he find the back of the net, but his ability to create opportunities for himself and his teammates made him such a versatile player in our lineup every night." said Lumberjacks Head Coach Parker Burgess.

Boisvert signed a tender with the Lumberjacks during the 2021-22 season while finishing his second year at Mount Saint Charles Academy. Through his two seasons in Woonsocket, Rhode Island Boisvert recorded an astounding 142 points in 123 games. In 2021-22 Bosivert produced at almost a two point per game clip with a 51-43-94 stat line through 56 games.

"Making the jump from U16 hockey to the USHL is such a huge leap, and doing so with such a prominent role in our lineup is even more impressive. His development both on the ice, and as a leader in the locker room leaves me excited for the future" added coach Burgess.

Boisvert found the back of the net 17 times this season while adding in 28 assists for 45 points, good for third among Jacks this season. With measurables of 6'2 and 170 pounds Boisvert used his size to affect the game at both ends of the ice by playing a complete 200 foot game.

The 2006 birth year is committed to play his college hockey at North Dakota in the NCHC, and is NHL Draft eligible for the 2024 season.
