Michaels, Buckberger and Whitehead Selected for League Honors

Chicago, Ill. - Owen Michaels (Dubuque), Boston Buckberger (Lincoln) and Cameron Whitehead (Lincoln) earned United States Hockey League (USHL) Player of the Week honors for Week 31, the league announced Monday.

Forward of the Week

Owen Michaels | Dubuque | Detroit, Mich.

Commitment: Western Michigan

Birth Year: 2002

5 GP, 3 goals, 5 assists, 8 points, 12 shots on goal

Led league with eight points last week

Registered three assists in a 5-2 road win at Green Bay last Tuesday

Had a goal and an assist in 3-2 first-round series-clinching win over the Gamblers Wednesday

Defenseman of the Week

Boston Buckberger | Lincoln | Saskatoon, Sask.

NCAA Commitment: Denver

Birth Year: 2003

5 GP, 0 goals, 6 assists, 6 points, +9, 9 shots on goal

Led league with six assists last week in helping Stars to series wins over Des Moines and Waterloo

Had two assists, including one on the game-winner, in 7-2 win over Waterloo last Friday
