New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League made two roster moves today, with each one involving a relief Pitcher.

RHP Santos Arias, the 23-year-old bullpen specialist from La Ramona, Dominican Republic, has been reassigned by the Rock Cats' parent club - the Minnesota Twins - to Ft. Myers in the Single-A, Florida State League. In his first stint in the Eastern League, the 5'11"/162-pound Santos made 22 appearances for the 2010 Rock Cats - all but two in relief - and departs New Britain with a record of 0-7 and a 4.50 ERA.

LHP Tony Davis, a 22-year-old southpaw selected by Minnesota out of the University of Florida in the 11th Round of the 2009 Draft, has been assigned to New Britain from Ft. Myers in the Florida State League. The 5'11"/185-pound former `Gator made 17 appearances out of the 2010 Miracle bullpen, posting a 0-0 record, with 1 Save. The Newberry, FL native departs Ft. Myers with a 2.87 ERA in 31.1 total innings of 2010 work. Davis will be making his second trip to Connecticut as he joined the 2009 Rock Cats in September for their stretch run. The lefty was unscored upon in two relief appearances in the Hardware City last season.

Both moves are effective immediately and each player will be in uniform for his new club tonight.
