Calgary Vipers News Release
Using two three-run innings the Calgary Vipers defeated the Tijuana Big Horn Sheep 6-5 in the back half of a double-header featuring two seven-inning games at Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma, Arizona. The Vipers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning and needed three more tallies in the fifth frame to go back ahead after five unanswered runs against. Calgary's second half record is now 29-15 and overall the Vipers are 52-35 on the Golden Baseball League season.
Calgary wraps up the regular season against the Tijuana Big Horn Sheep in Yuma, Arizona on Sunday September 5th at 7:00 PM MDT.
The Vipers will begin the 2010 Playoffs on the road in Chico against the Outlaws with Games 1 & 2 of a best of five series on Tuesday September 7th and Wednesday September 8th with both games starting at 8:05 PM MDT.
Calgary returns home to Foothills Stadium for Game 3 of the North Division Championship Series on Friday September 10th at 7:05 PM MDT. If necessary Games 4 & 5 will also be played in Calgary on Saturday September 11th and Sunday September 12th.
