
'Tugas Welcome Miracle for Memorial Day Weekend

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Daytona Tortugas continue their homestand this weekend, as they welcome the Fort Myers Miracle, High-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, to town for a four-game series starting Thursday, May 23. Among the highlights are three firework shows, Margaritaville Night on Friday, a Shelldon "bobble-fist" giveaway and pre-game carnival on Saturday, as well as a t-shirt giveaway on Sunday.
The series gets underway on May 23 with a Thirsty Thursday presented by Bud Light. Fans are encouraged to come out and be a part of the biggest party in Central Florida, as draft beers and fountain sodas can be purchased for just $1 all evening long. First pitch for the series' opener is slated for 7:05 p.m.
It's a perfect night for "Parrotheads", as we continue our Best Dressed Friday series on May 24. The Tortugas will celebrate Margaritaville Night with special tropical-themed uniforms worn by players and coaches. The unique jerseys will be auctioned off online throughout the weekend. As a part of the fun, there will be a pregame concert on the concourse by Captain Josh, as well as drink and "Cheeseburger in Paradise" specials all evening long. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for our Friday Night Happy Hour presented by Kona Brewing. Patrons can enjoy buy-one, get-one Kona beer products, and Bud Light from 5:30 p.m. until first pitch. Following the final out, those in attendance will be treated to another marvelous Postgame Fireworks display. That night's affair is scheduled to get underway at 7:05 p.m.
Ballpark fun continues with a Shell-tastic Saturday on May 25. Ticket-holders are advised to get to the stadium early, as the Jackie Robinson Ballpark concourse turns into a Jersey Shore boardwalk with a Pre-Game Carnival. Additionally, the first 1,000 fans through the gates that night will receive a Shelldon "Bobble-fist" Giveaway courtesy of bowlingball.com. Fans are encouraged to stick around until the game's conclusion, as a Postgame Firework show will light up the Daytona Beach sky. Saturday's contest is penciled in for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.
The seven-day, eight-game homestand comes to its conclusion with Military Appreciation Night on Sunday, May 26. The Tortugas will honor all active and retired military personnel and the first 500 patrons through the stadium gates will receive a limited edition T-Shirt Giveaway. it will be another Tiny Tugas Night featuring special activities and experiences for all members and Kids Run the Bases following the contest. As a part of Memorial Day Weekend, the series will come to a close with another marvelous Postgame Fireworks display. That evening's finale will begin at a special time of 6:35 p.m.
